Replicate a Sent Email to Send Again

Modified on: Fri, 2 Dec, 2022 at 8:59 PM

You can efficiently replicate a sent email to a new group of contacts in the Cision Communications Cloud.

To begin this replication process,

1. Click the Connect tab
2. Click the My Activities tab

The My Activities page will display all of your interactions with media by default. To quickly find the email you want to resend, use the Filters panel on the left-hand side of the screen.

1. One of several options for finding the email you want to replicate is using the keyword search. To use the keyword search, enter a word, phrase enclosed in quotations, or a combination of words and phrases connected using simple Boolean Terms. Boolean terms accepted by this field are OR, AND, AND NOT all of which must be capitalized when used.
NOTE: The keyword search looks through logged interactions' title and notes fields.
2. Another option for finding a particular email is to use the Title column in the centre of the My Activities page to find the email.
3. If you have trouble locating the distribution, you can also use the Filters on the left side panel to sort Activities by Type and Status
4. Click on the upside-down triangle by the title of the email distribution that you want to replicate.
5. Select View Details

You will see various statistics and analytics describing the results of your sent email distribution. Click here to learn more about sent email statistics provided in the Cision Communications Cloud.

You will find options to replicate your email in the upper right-hand corner.

1. Click the Three-Ellipses button.
2. Select the Replicate button.

You will see the email in draft mode, guiding you through the same step-by-step process used to create the initial email. However, in this replication process, the subject line, body of the email, and override information will be automatically populated from the original email contents.

While the subject line and body of the email will be automatically populated from the original email contents, you can modify this information if desired.

Any attachments included in the original email will NOT automatically populate and must be re-uploaded.

When confirming the replicated email,  you will see that any modified opt-out information is automatically populated based on the original email.  However, no default time will be designated for the replicated email to be distributed. Be sure to select a time for the email to reach media contacts.
