Import lists

Before you can import your contacts, an Excel file must be created according to the attached template that you find at the bottom of this aricle.


Note that the Excel file have to be saved as a .txt before importing, after the contact information has been added to the file.


The first two columns are mandatory (Contact Name and Email), while the others are optional.


Tip! If you only have email addresses, add them to both column A and B.

You can also create your own file with the information you find relevant. The column headline is optional.

Only have one list per file. If you want to import more than one list, you must create separate documents for every list.

  1. Click Contacts – LISTSmceclip3.png
  2. Click IMPORT LISTSmceclip4.png
  3. Choose your Excel file from your computer.mceclip5.png
  4. Highlight the box if the file has column headlines, and select what software the file is created in. Click next.mceclip6.png
  5. Match the fields between the column headings and the other headings in Cision.mceclip7.png

 

If you have imported a list without column headlines, you will have to match the columns with the headlines in Cision. Click NEXT.mceclip8.png

 

  1. Name the list and select into what folder it shall go into.mceclip9.png
  2. The list is now imported.mceclip10.png

 

Remember that all contacts that is being imported to CisionPoint is covered by GDPR regulations, which means that you as the sender needs approval in accordance with the GDPR regulations for you to handle the imported contact information.
