Create a release via a Release profile

- Go to RELEASES – CREATE RELEASE
- Click RELEASE PROFILE and select what profile you want to use.
- Information type, language, industry, and Recipients are already selected. Add or remove recipients if you want. Click NEXT
- Type/copy and paste your headline. (This field is mandatory)
- Type/copy and paste your Lead paragraph. (This field is not mandatory)
- Type/copy and paste your body text. (This field is mandatory)
- Add your attachments
- You can upload images, PDFs, Word files, and more, by:
- Clicking +
- Choose an image from the MediaBank or by clicking UPLOAD MEDIA
- Click SELECT FILE and find you file on your computer.
- Click UPLOAD MEDIA
- Click ADD TO RELEASE
The image furthest to the left will be picked up as an article image on Cision News. If you do not want it to show up as an article image, check the Hide on Cision News box.
- For regulatory releases the PDF must be uploaded under Primary PDF Attachment. (Please note that when releasing financial reports, the complete report must be attached here). Copies of press releases are to be uploaded under
Choose to autogenerate a PDF or to upload your own PDF.
The PDF will have the same name as the file you uploaded, if you want to change it just write the new name in the box.
- Add the contact information and company information, from a saved profile, from the information in the pressroom, or by typing.
- Add all the tags you want by typing or by clicking the + and you will see tags previously used.
- If you want to make the release a bit fuller in the Cision News pressroom, you can fill the fields for Links, Quick facts, and Quotes.
- You can at any time preview the text in the various formats that are sent out.
When you are satisfied, Click NEXT
