Setting up Media Request Email Notifications

Setting up the Media Request email will save you time and effort in accessing Media Requests which are appropriate for your content.


1. From anywhere on the portal click the cog icon next to the Database Seats button to reveal Your Profile. Select this and you will be taken to your own personal profile page.


2. Scroll down the screen to find Media Requests.


Quick Tip: Your current email settings will display here once you have chosen them – it will be blank before you make your first choices. 


3. Choose the Sector(s) of the Media Requests you would like to be notified of.


Quick Tip: The Sector selection is the same as the Gorkana search where you can select your criteria as you would when building contact lists


4. Select from your subscribed Countries

Quick Tip: You need to select choices on all tabs (except Journalists) before you save your notification settings


5. Select the Type of Media Request you would like to be notified of. You must select at least one type. Feel free to select all.


Quick Tip PR to PR are requests from other PR’s




6. Assign Journalists Selecting specific Journalists will return any Media Request created by them, even if you have not selected their sectors. (Not a compulsory field)


Quick Tip: You are able to select multiple Journalists against one email notification

7. For the Frequency of your email notifications you can choose from an Instant notification or a Daily email summary at listing all of the Media Requests matching your criteria. The Daily email is sent at 2pm. Select No email if you wish to turn off emails temporarily. Don’t forget to click Save to finalise any changes.
