Editing, Duplicating and Deleting New Dashboards Chart Widgets

You can change the chart widgets' attributes by editing them. You can also change the date range the chart widget uses to display data. The sections below describe how you can easily make changes to ensure that your charts display news monitoring data in the most effective way for you to evaluate trends and generate reports!

Editing Individual Chart Widget Attributes:

To Edit a chart widget in New Dashboards:

  1. Click the Ellipses button in the upper right-hand corner of the chart.
  2. Select the Edit Widget option.

3. A panel will appear with all of the current settings for the chart's attributes. 
Use the panel to make desired changes in the settings:
  • Name the chart that best describes the chart you are creating/editing.
  • You can use the metrics you want to create the chart.
  • Monitoring Search that should be used to provide data to the chart.
  • Date Range of news articles/mentions to be included.
  • Type of chart representation you want to use.

4. Click the Save button when you have updated the attributes.

Bulk Change Widget Searches:

  1. Click the Elipses button in the upper right corner.
  2. Select Replace Widget Searches from the dropdown.

In the Replace Widget Searches modal, you will see all active searches within the dashboard and associated widgets.


3. Hover over the number displayed in the No. of Widgets column, and you will see the name of the widget the search is active in.


4. Click on Select Search.

5. The active search will be displayed in the Select Search side tray.


6. All searches available as replacements will be listed below the currently active search. Select the Search you would like to replace the existing search.


7. Click Apply.

8. You will notice the Replace With column in the Replace Widgets modal is updated with the new search you've selected.  Click Apply Changes.

All widgets with the previous search will update with the newly selected search.


Changing an Individual Chart's Date Range:

In the bottom left-hand corner of the chart widget, you will find the date range that the chart is using to display news data. 

To Change the chart's Date Range:

  • Click the arrow icon next to the current date range
  • Select the date range you prefer the chart to use. NOTE: This change will only affect the individual chart rather than all charts in the dashboard.

 

Bulk Change the Date Range for All Widgets:

  1. Click on the Date Control dropdown button at the top of your dashboard.
  2. Select the New Date Range.
  3. Check the box if you do not want to be asked again to confirm you want to make changes for this dashboard (Optional).
  4. Click on the Yes, Make Changes button.


Duplicating Chart Widget Attributes:

To Duplicate a chart widget in New Dashboards:

  1. Click the Ellipses button in the upper right-hand corner of the chart.
  2. Select the Duplicate option. (Select whether you would like to duplicate in the current dashboard or another)

3. A panel will appear with all the current settings for the duplicated chart's attributes. 
Use the panel to make desired changes in the settings:
  • Name of the chart that best describes the chart you are creating/editing.
  • You can use the metrics you want to create the chart.
  • Monitoring Search that should be used to provide data to the chart.
  • Date Range of news articles/mentions to be included.
  • Type of chart representation you want to use.

4. Click the Save button when you have updated the attributes.

NOTE: The chart will duplicate at the bottom of the page, not next to the original chart widget.

Deleting Chart Widgets:

To Delete a chart widget in New Dashboards:

  1. Click the Ellipses button in the upper right-hand corner of the chart.
  2. Select the Delete option.

NOTE: Deleted widgets cannot be "undeleted." To add a deleted widget back to your dashboard, you will have to recreate the original.

NOTE: New Dashboards are supported on cell phones and portrait-tablet size screens and laptop and landscape-tablet screens. When New Dashboards widgets are viewed on a laptop or landscape-tablet screen, the display will be 3 widget columns wide. When using a cell phone or portrait-tablet screen, New Dashboards will display 2 widget columns.

Note:This is only applicable for certain users
