News Alert Management

Alert Management will enable you to easily change a variety of attributes associated with the email alerts notifying you of new coverage coming into your Cision Communications Cloud:

  • add or remove recipients to your email alerts
  • change how the coverage is grouped in the email
  • change the frequency of the alerts
  • change the time the alert is set to be delivered
  • change the days on which you receive alerts
  • end emails alerts

To make changes in these attributes, click the Person icon in the upper right-hand side of your toolbar and select Settings.

Select Alert Management from the Settings Menu.

You will see any news alerts that were created in that data group.  To edit, select the hyperlinked text under Subject. If you wish to make changes to your Analytics alerts, click here.

Once you click into the search associated with the email alert, you will see there are four pages listed at the bottom with  search’s attributes.

  1. Click the Forward Details page to add or remove email recipients, change the text included in the body of the email, or re-group the coverage included in the email.
  2. Click the Forward Schedule page to make changes in the frequency with which you receive the emails, the days on which you receive the emails, the time the email is set to arrive, or to end an alert.

On the  Forward Details page, you can change the following:

  1. Add or change text included in the body of the email
  2. Enter email addresses for any additional recipients who need to receive the alert. Hit return after entering each address.
  3. Click the X on on email addresses for anyone whom you need to remove from the alert.
  4. Make a selection for how the coverage should be grouped in the email.

Forward Details

The Forward Schedule page will enable you to modify the following aspects of the release:

  1. Choose  whether you want to receive the alert daily or hourly.  NOTE: If the saved search associated with the alert is a keyword search, you will not have the option to receive the alert hourly.  This will be indicated by a message.
  2. Check the days on which you would like to receive the alert.
  3. Set the delivery time for the email.
  4. Select whether you want to have email sent on an ongoing basis or have it end on a particular date. If you select End On, a date box will pop up so that you can enter a specific date.
