Google and Adobe Analytics with News Clips

Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics can be integrated into the Cision Communication Cloud News and Reporting area to provide additional metrics on your news.  What is most important is that you connect the appropriate Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics account. For Google Analytics, you will want to be sure to choose the correct view from the drop-down when connecting your Google Analytics account.  To learn more about connecting a Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics accounts to your Cision system, click here.

Once your account is connected you will begin to see additional metrics on the news clips that are driving traffic to the URL specified in the connected view. The data you depends on whether you have Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics accounts connected.  For Google Analytics, you will see up to three metrics in a news clip depending on what you have set up in your Google Analytics account.

To see Google or Adobe Analytics data for a news item, select the news item and scroll down to the bottom.

For Google Analytics, you will see up to three metrics generate at the bottom of each clip:

1. Count of Referrals: This number shows how many people clicked on the hyperlink inside of this article and went to that website.
2. Goal Completions: Google Analytics defines a goal as a completed activity, that contributes to the success of your business.  These goals must be set up in your Google Analytics account to generate this information inside of Cision. 3. Revenue: When you set up goals inside of your Google Analytics account, each goal can be assigned a monetary amount of money.  This would show the total amount of revenue based on goal completions.  For example, if each goal completion was assigned $100 and 10 goal completions occurred, we would see a revenue of $1000.

For Adobe Analytics, you will see the Count of Referrals the clip made to your monitored site.
