Here you can find information regarding our move to CloudFlare and the change of our Disaster Recovery environment.
A major priority for us at Cision is continuous improvements on our solutions and services. This goes for areas visible for our clients to support their communication activities as well as back-end developments regarding the maintaining of application availability and security for our clients and their data.
We are currently working on two projects: A move of Cision web services to Cloudflare for higher security, and a planned migration of our DR (“Disaster Recovery”) environment to data centers with higher classifications in terms of information security and data management services.
What does this mean to you?
If your company has implemented any of Cision’s web modules and is retrieving data feeds to your websites (Press releases, financial information etc), you may be affected by this change due to changes of our public IP addresses. Depending on your company's security policy, an “IP-address filter” may have been applied in the security platform.
Cloudflare
To increase the security of services we are moving our web services to Cloudflare, with this our IP-Range on our web services will change and higher security for from malicious activity like DDoS attacks, malicious bots, and other nefarious intrusions.
How can this affect you?
If you do not have any validation/locks on IP this will not affect your integration of our web services.
If you have locked any service to our IP range you will not be able to reach the data after we change to Cloudflare.
Our recommendation
With CloudFlare our IP-addresses will change over time, this means that IP based filtering will not work going forward If a connectivity security filter is required, we suggest instead to use URL-filtering, or even better using our token based authentication solution. Disaster Recovery
We are migrating our DR (“Disaster Recovery”) environment to data centers with higher classifications in terms of information security and data management services.
With this migration we will have new Disaster Recovery IP-addresses.
How can this affect you?
If you do not have any validation/locks on IP this will not affect your integration of our web services.
If you have locked any services to our old Disaster Recovery environment, you must take action.
Note that this only will affect our DR environment, so no changes will be made to the regular production environment.
To ensure that these planned changes will not affect any of your web module services, we kindly ask you to forward this information to your technical contact so that you can verify your ability to access our data feeds in the future.
